Daniela Piccoli ‘s Amarone is a superb, confidential cuvée (annual production around 6,000 bottles). First, its deep ruby-red color seduces the eye, then its intense nose reveals scents of ripe fruit such as cherry and raspberry, with hints of spice and menthol, tobacco and cedar. On the palate, the wine is rich and powerful, but not heavy, almost ethereal. Balanced, elegant and refined. A marvel! |
| The estate |
Azienda Piccoli is located on Monte La Parte, not far from Verona’s historic center. The 10 hectares of vines are situated at an altitude of 250 m above sea level. They benefit from an airy climate and excellent exposure. |
| Viticulture |
Guyot and pergola veronese pruning. Entirely hand-harvested, allowing rigorous selection of the healthiest grapes. Natural raisining for a minimum of 3 months without air conditioning. During this period, they can lose up to 35% of their weight.

| Winemaking |
Gentle crushing and pressing of bunches with rigorous temperature control to extract the most intense and refined aromas. Regular pumping-over and delestage. Short passage in stainless steel vats, followed by aging in 30 hl French oak foudre and 350 and 550-liter barrels for a minimum of 60 months. After this long period, the wine returns to stainless steel tanks for a few months, before finishing off with a year’s bottle ageing. |
