London Dry Gin is crafted from organic wheat grown in Ogens and distilled three times. This distinguishes it from conventional gins (produced from redistilled industrial alcohol). An unfiltered gin, fresh and spicy, with an elegant bitterness that reveals complex notes of pine and pepper. Enjoy it neat, with quality tonic water or in cocktails. |
The estate |
The La Roja distillery is located in the attic of the Moulin Bornu in Pompaples – known as le Milieu du Monde – where the waters of the Nozon separate to flow southwards towards the Rhône and the Mediterranean Sea. Artisanal production is deliberately limited to ensure excellent quality. This allows Julien and Antoine to participate in every stage of the process, from field to bottle, with one absolute condition: the use of organic and, if possible, local raw materials. They are also constantly thinking about how to keep their ecological footprint to a minimum. |
Viticulture |
The wheat used to produce London Dry Gin is grown organically in the commune of Ogens, some 20 km from Pompaples. |
Distillation |
Cereal mashing, followed by several days’ fermentation. Double distillation produces an alcohol with a very high percentage by volume. It is then diluted before infusion with a secret blend of a dozen carefully selected 100% organic aromatic plants. A third and final distillation produces a fresh, powerful gin of superior quality. No filtration to retain the most subtle and profound flavors. Finally, London Dry Gin is aged for two months in carboys before being bottled, labeled and sealed by hand. |
