2020 was an early year, but one that produced grapes of excellent quality. Sugar levels were high, thanks to a hot, dry summer that enabled the berries to ripen healthily. The vines were little affected by disease. On the other hand, quantities will be lower, around 15-20% less than in previous years. This vintage will also bear the scars of the health crisis, which had a major impact on winegrowers. The loss of catering and of events such as the Caves Ouvertes, but also a reduction in the workforce for harvesting and other viticultural work. However, the quality of the vintage, once in our glasses, will remind us that winemaking is a difficult profession. But much more than a job, it’s a passion.
