Comments This artisanal Swiss aperitif is made from 11 plants. It owes its particularity to the use of wormwood, also known as absinthe sauvage, as well as chamomile and peppermint, which give it a unique taste with floral notes. Far from milky pastis, it is made without added sugar or essential oils. It can also be enjoyed as a digestif with an ice cube or two.
The estate Frédéric Verne, a watchmaker by training, decided to leave high-precision mechanics to devote 100% of his time to his passion for distillation. His Pastis is the result of a long, controlled distillation process in Geneva and Fechy. A great fan of absinthe, Frédéric wanted to make a Pastis with some of its characteristic aromatic markers. This version is also lighter and more fragrant.
Cultivation It’s made from 11 plants, including green anise, star anise, fennel, licorice, mugwort, cardamom, peppermint, angelica root, coriander seed, lemon balm and chamomile.
Distillation Roue Libre pastis is the result of an xx-day maceration followed by double distillation.
Food & wine Enjoy as an aperitif, or as an after-dinner drink for its airy, aromatic character.
Serving temperature Enjoy chilled
