Comments |
This Petite Arvine from Fully is a perfect dry, fruity wine with notes of lime, elderflower and rhubarb. The palate is fresh, with citrus notes and a deliciously saline finish. Pleasant as an aperitif, it’s also a fresh cuvée that will finely enhance shellfish dishes such as just-snacked prawns or a calamari plancha with lemon. |
The estate |
Founded in 2008, it is one of the youngest wineries in the Valais. After having vinified the first vintage in a mazot, then in a tractor garage in Fully, the winery has been based in the commune of Saillon since 2011. Although the vinification facilities are recent, the work remains essentially artisanal. The vineyard is characterized by small terraces supported by dry stone walls. The steep slope precludes any mechanization, so the vines are worked exclusively by hand. |
Viticulture |
The grapes for this cuvée all come from vines planted on terraces in the Fully commune. The soils are mainly composed of gneiss, with very little clay on the surface. Thanks to the Foehn effect, a meteorological phenomenon characteristic of the Valais, the grapes are in a healthy state at harvest time. |
Winemaking |
This cuvée is vinified to preserve its freshness and liveliness. Aged 6 months in stainless steel tanks. No malolactic fermentation. |
