2015 was an exceptional vintage in many of the world’s wine-growing regions. After a spring that didn’t necessarily get off to a good start, the summer was able to come to terms with the vintage. The harvest was of the highest quality, and quantities were more than satisfactory, with a few exceptions. In some regions, and particularly for certain highly sought-after crus, prices are set to rise sharply, as was the case for the 2009 and 2010 vintages, although this time the increase will not be as great, fortunately. It will be easy to pick up bargains in lesser-rated regions, which nonetheless produce very good wines in other, less publicized vintages too.
