Description

Yves-Jean Millaire is the third generation of winemakers. The story begins in 1950 when his grandfather, Jean Garnier, bought 6 hectares of vines in Fronsac, on the outskirts of Saint-Émilion. In 1979, the estate was leased for 18 years. Jean-Yves took over the family estate in 1998. In 2006, the vineyard was certified organic, and he decided to take it a step further. In 2009, the estate was certified biodynamic.

To learn more

The Merlot is planted on an area of 6 hectares on predominantly clay soils. The harvest is mechanical.

Once pressed, the must will undergo alcoholic fermentation thanks to the action of indigenous yeasts. It will then be aged in tanks on its fine lees, which will give it richness and roundness.
