Philippe Villard & Fils

A 6-hectare family estate located in the commune of Anières, founded at the beginning of the last century by Albert Villard. Philippe apprenticed at the estate with his father, Pierre Villard, and then took over in 1994. He diversified the grape varieties and began aging the wines in oak barrels. In 2006, he built a cellar with a capacity of around forty barrels. He has always practiced viticulture that limits the use of chemical products, which is why he took a further step and in 2018 the estate was certified organic.

Geneva

The Geneva vineyard is one of the oldest and most dynamic in Switzerland. Located at the crossroads of French and Swiss influences, it stretches across varied hillsides bordering the Rhône, the Arve, and Lake Geneva. In terms of area, it is now the third largest vineyard in the country.

With a wide variety of local and international grape varieties planted, and wines of exceptional quality, its vineyard has become a benchmark in the Swiss wine landscape. A new generation of winemakers has breathed new life into the estate and is adopting a more modern and globally minded approach.

Geneva also stands out for its commitment to sustainability, with a growing number of certified organic or in-conversion vineyards, and for the GRTA (Geneva Region – Land of the Future) label, which recognizes production that respects the terroir. Blending tradition and innovation, Geneva's vineyards perfectly illustrate the energy and creativity of contemporary Swiss viticulture.
