The entire estate has been managed biodynamically since the 2000s. Draft horses and sheep graze together on the property. Faster, gentler, and less polluting than a tractor, working with horses prevents soil compaction. The sheep balance the grass cover and encourage the growth of certain plants beneficial to the environment.

The destemmed but uncrushed grapes arrive at the winery by gravity. Skin maceration takes place in concrete vats, followed by a one-month fermentation with daily pump-overs. The pomace is then drawn off and pressed, separating the juices before aging in stainless steel tanks for six months. The wine is then blended, racked, and filtered before bottling.

Comte Abbatucci

The estate now covers 21 hectares of granite hillsides in the heart of the Taravo Valley in Southern Corsica, at an altitude of approximately 150 meters. The entire estate has been managed biodynamically since the 2000s.
